An excellent reference for the classical treatment of diﬀerential geometry is the book by Struik . The more descriptive guide by Hilbert and Cohn-Vossen is also highly recommended. This book covers both geometry and diﬀerential geome-try essentially without the use of calculus. It contains many interesting results and. For beginning geometry there are two truly wonderful books, Barrett O'neill's Elementary Differential Geometry and Singer and Thorpe's Lecture Notes on Elementary Topology and Geometry. Singer and Thorpe are well known mathematicians and wrote this book for undergraduates to introduce them to geometry from the modern view point.

(I know a similar question was asked earlier, but most of the responses were geared towards Riemannian geometry, or some other text which defined the concept of "smooth manifold" very early on.
